Track Meets 2013

We have compiled a comprehensive list of track meets for the 2013 season. Let us know of any meets we missed.

Renew or Join the FAC for 2013

We continue to encourage you and your fellow track friends to join the FAC for 2013. For current members, please remember to renew your membership.

We are still the only club which competes at the National level at the Master’s Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

See www.usatf.org for additional meet information. Also let us know if you intend to compete so that we can perhaps put together relay teams for this meet.

FAC 2012 Club News

April 2012
Congratulation to those eight men and women who represented the FAC at the National Indoor Championships in Bloomington Indiana. We did not get the score for Joan Terry (45) who won the 3000 meter race walk. However the other seven members scored 83 points to carry us to a tenth place finish in the USA.

We were carried by the strong efforts of Alan Smith (80) with 28 points as he won the mile and the 800m events. He then finished third in the 400m and forth in the 200m events.

Other places were accomplished by Bob Cahners (65) in the weight (1st ), Bruce Hedendal (60) with a (5th) in the shot put and (6th) in the pentathlon, Pay Carstensen (80) (1st) in the weight, Joe Johnson (65) (3rd) in the high Jump and (2nd) in the 60 hurdles, Janet Johnson (65) (1st) in the pole vault and Sandy DeNoon (55) (3rd) in the 3000 race walk.

Maite Moscoso and Juan Moscoso will represent the club in the upcoming World Cup Race Walking Selection Meet in Eugene, Oregon. Both are (40) and will compete against America’s youth to make the team.

The word is that the Florida State Master’s Championship will be held at Lake Brantley High School in Altamonte Springs during the month of May.
We are unable to find actual information on the USATF web site for the event. Please keep us posted if you discover new information.

Also there will be a meet in May at the National Training Center as reported earlier which generally has all the master’s events. See www.usantc.com for entry info.
